Kurtis Smith

Kurtis started his law enforcement experience seriving in the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department crime lab.  After serving that agency he moved to the California Department of Justice.

Kurtis was Supervisor of the Crime Scene Training unit of the California Criminalistics Laboratory until his promotion to Laboratory Director of the Sacramento and Santa Rosa Laboratories of the Depratment of Justice, Bureau of Forensic Services.

Kurtis has always been interested in evidence at the crime scene and been active in the response to scene investigations.  He has been with NCIT for two years.
